**Job title**
Web Developer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, test, and maintain high‑performance, secure web applications and sites for a classified client environment. Work independently on complex projects, integrate new web products, and support ongoing maintenance and upgrades while ensuring compliance with security, legal, and organizational standards.
**Expectations**
- Hold a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Demonstrate 8+ years of web development experience in programs of comparable scope and complexity (or 4+ years plus a bachelor’s degree).
- Provide functional, user‑friendly interfaces using current web technologies and interfaces.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Gather and define functional and technical requirements with cross‑functional teams.
2. Execute formal design processes: architecture, UI/UX design, coding, testing, documentation, and deployment.
3. Build and maintain HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server‑side components (VBScript, CGI, Java, XML).
4. Create content‑rich, visually appealing pages, animations, and e‑business modules.
5. Integrate new web products with existing applications and maintain database connectivity.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues, applying the latest technologies.
7. Produce and maintain technical documentation, configuration management, and release records.
8. Support deployment, upgrades, and ongoing site availability and performance under secure conditions.
**Required Skills**
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and at least one server‑side language (VBScript, CGI, Java, or equivalent).
- Experience with XML, web services, and database integration (SQL or NoSQL).
- Familiarity with secure web development practices, compliance standards, and configuration management.
- Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and performance optimization abilities.
- Ability to work independently on complex projects and collaborate effectively across teams.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (required).
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License (if required by client).
