Job title: Infrastructure Architect (Azure)
Role Summary: Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable hybrid infrastructure solutions across on‑premises and Azure cloud environments for an enterprise with rapid growth, ensuring operational efficiency, resilience, and alignment with business strategy.
Expectations: Deliver end‑to‑end infrastructure architecture; lead a technical team, mentor staff, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement through Agile and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise‑scale on‑premises and Azure infrastructure.
• Optimize hybrid networking (LAN/WAN, VPN, SD‑WAN, firewalls, load balancing) for high availability and security.
• Lead infrastructure strategy sessions, providing insights to support business initiatives.
• Manage projects using Agile methodologies, coordinating sprints and iterative releases.
• Build and maintain automation & orchestration pipelines with Terraform, Azure DevOps, Git, and YAML CI/CD.
• Establish and enforce security standards, identity & access management, and compliance controls.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Manage infrastructure budgets, forecast costs, and negotiate vendor contracts.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members; conduct performance reviews and engagement conversations.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Required Skills:
• Proven technical leadership, coaching, and team management.
• Expertise in hybrid cloud architecture (Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).
• Advanced knowledge of network design (LAN/WAN, VPN, SD‑WAN, firewalls, load balancing).
• Proficiency in Terraform, Azure DevOps, Git, YAML, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong foundation in infrastructure security (IAM, segmentation, cloud controls).
• Agile project management, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
• Excellent problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Budget forecasting, cost optimization, and vendor negotiation experience.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure architecture or IT operations, 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred); Cisco CCNP; CISSP or CompTIA Security+ (preferred); ITIL (preferred).
