Job Title
Intern – Emerging Technologies, Data & Cyber Security (H/F)
Role Summary
Provide legal support in data protection, digital, intellectual property, and cyber risk. Conduct strategic regulatory monitoring, produce legal briefings, ensure compliance of new technology projects, and track EU digital regulations.
Expectations
- 6‑month internship commencing July 2026, part of a PPI programme.
- Recent Master 2 graduate in New Technologies Law or Digital Law.
- Prior experience in a law firm or corporate environment preferred.
- Strong French and professional English writing skills.
- Autonomy, rigor, teamwork, and initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor legal developments in AI, data, cybersecurity, IoT, electronic signatures, etc.
- Draft concise legal notes and pedagogical materials, using legal design where relevant.
- Analyse and mitigate risks for innovative projects: confidentiality agreements, legal notices, service contracts, SaaS agreements, startup contracts, terms & conditions, charters, internal conventions.
- Track application of EU digital legislation to company operations.
- Collaborate with governance, legal, innovation, IT, HR, and other business units.
- Maintain regular reporting to the legal team and project stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of new‑technology law, digital law, data privacy (GDPR), and contract law.
- Familiarity with IT contracts (SaaS, licensing) and typical contractual clauses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Forms).
- Experience with legal research databases and presentation tools (e.g., Canva).
- Ability to write clearly in English and French.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a proactive attitude.
Required Education & Certifications
- Master 2 (equivalent) in New Technologies/ Digital Law, or related field.
- No specific certifications required; GDPR knowledge is essential.
