Job Description
Job title: Jr Data Engineer Role Summary: Build and maintain data pipelines that ingest, transform, and integrate customer datasets into the Klir platform, enabling automated reporting and insights through BI dashboards. Expectations: - Execute data migrations from legacy systems and spreadsheets. - Design, code, and monitor ETL/ELT workflows. - Develop and maintain API connections to customer systems (LIMS, SCADA, SFTP). - Clean, validate, and transform data for consistency and accuracy. - Build and update Power BI (or equivalent) dashboards to visualize key metrics. - Document data models, mapping logic, and transformation procedures. - Diagnose and resolve data quality issues, recommending corrective actions. - Drive process improvements and automation best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and support end‑to‑end data migration projects. - Construct scalable, automated ingestion pipelines using Python and SQL. - Build secure, reliable API integrations, handling authentication and error logging. - Perform data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment to meet quality standards. - Design Power BI reports that translate complex data into actionable insights. - Collaborate with project managers, data consultants, and developers to ensure smooth implementations. - Maintain detailed documentation and provide knowledge transfer to stakeholders. - Continuously assess system performance and implement optimizations. Required Skills: - 1–3 years experience in data engineering, integration, or analytics. - Strong Python scripting for automation and transformation. - Proficient SQL for querying, cleaning, and modeling. - Experience with Power BI or comparable BI tools. - Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and API‑based integrations. - Familiarity with Azure or similar cloud environments. - Excellent data quality focus and problem‑solving abilities. - Clear communication with technical and non‑technical audiences. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
