Job Description: **Job Title:** Engineering Manager **Role Summary:** Lead and grow a high‑performance backend engineering team that designs, builds, and scales an AI‑enablement platform. The role combines hands‑on technical leadership, architectural strategy, and people management to deliver scalable, cloud‑native services on time and with high quality. **Expectations:** - Guide engineering excellence and growth of a diverse software team. - Own the technical roadmap and product vision alongside product and leadership. - Deliver robust, scalable backend systems that meet security, reliability, and performance targets. **Key Responsibilities:** - Direct, mentor, and coach a team of 8–15 software engineers, fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture. - Define and execute the technical strategy for Kubernetes services, data ingestion pipelines, and agentic workflow frameworks. - Oversee end‑to‑end delivery: planning, design, CI/CD, testing, deployment, and maintenance. - Remove impediments, manage project timelines, and ensure on‑time delivery of high‑quality features. - Champion best practices for code quality, testing, observability, and automation (CI/CD, KEDA, etc.). - Represent engineering in cross‑functional meetings; translate product requirements into technical solutions. **Required Skills:** - 7+ years professional software engineering with a strong record of shipping complex, scalable backend services. - 3+ years proven engineering management or technical leadership with direct people management. - Deep expertise in Python and modern backend frameworks; strong knowledge of cloud‑native architecture. - Hands‑on experience in Azure (preferred) or AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and event‑driven autoscaling (e.g., KEDA). - Solid Agile/Scrum product development experience. - Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Valid certifications in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) or container orchestration (Kubernetes) are a plus. ---
