Job Description
Job Title: Construction Project Manager Intern Role Summary: Provide hands‑on project management experience for college students, applying classroom knowledge to all phases of construction projects, from pre‑job planning to closeout. Expectations: Internship (Summer 2026) offering exposure to project estimating, contract administration, permitting, safety, purchasing, RFIs, change orders, productivity tracking, and documentation of job closeout. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with pre‑job activities: estimating, job setup, contract review, permit and insurance certificate procurement. - Support during construction: enforce safety protocols, manage purchasing and submittals, track materials & equipment, monitor productivity, handle change orders, respond to RFIs, and maintain accurate project records. - Contribute to job closeout: compile O&M manuals, as‑record drawings, warranties, and final project documentation. Required Skills: - Current enrollment toward a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. - Strong interest in construction industry and project management. - Ability to read and understand construction documents. - Proficient in mathematical and analytical reasoning. - Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; teamwork orientation.
