Job Description
**Job title** Technician, Breeding **Role Summary** Support the breeding program by executing field, greenhouse, and laboratory activities under the direction of the Scientist, Breeding. Responsibilities include plant propagation, trial execution, data collection, laboratory testing, and compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards. **Expectations** - Perform daily breeding and production tasks, adapting to evolving program priorities. - Maintain strict adherence to SOPs, Health Canada Cannabis Act, and Occupational Health and Safety Act. - Record, analyze, and report data accurately. - Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and willingness to perform repetitive work. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Conduct experimental procedures in plant breeding and production trials, including propagation, post‑harvest, and sensory work. 2. Assist with biological, microbiological, and biochemical laboratory analyses. 3. Carry out technical support for breeding trials and related production experiments. 4. Collect phenotypic and breeding data following prescribed protocols; input and manage data. 5. Analyze data and prepare reports for the Scientist, Breeding. 6.
