Job Description
**Job Title** DevOps Engineer **Role Summary** Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure (primarily GCP) using Infrastructure-as-Code. Automate CI/CD pipelines, embed security controls, monitor system performance, and respond to incidents to ensure high reliability and compliance for an embedded payment platform. **Expectations** - 5 + years in DevOps or related role. - Fluency in French and English. - Demonstrated experience with CI/CD, container orchestration, cloud infrastructure, IaC, observability, and security tooling. - Strong scripting/programming skills and proactive security mindset. - Agile/Scrum working experience with Jira and Confluence. - Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, document, and maintain cloud architecture and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation). - Build and support CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.), incorporating code scanning, dependency checks, and container hardening. - Automate security testing and controls across Dev, Staging, and Production environments. - Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure performance; recommend and implement improvements. - Perform patching, updates, and load‑testing support. - Provide security remediation actions following scans (Checkov, tfsec, etc.) and advise on preventive measures. - Configure and manage observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace). - Mentor developers on secure coding and deployment practices. - Participate in disaster‑recovery planning and resilience design. - Engage in continual learning of emerging security threats and best practices. - Contribute to on‑call rotation for incident response. **Required Skills** - CI/CD platforms: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc. - Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes; operation, networking, and security. - Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure (GCP preferred). - IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation; security scanning with Checkov, tfsec. - Security tools: Vault, Snyk, and related scanning/monitoring solutions. - Networking: VPC, DNS, Firewall, Load Balancer. - Database management: backup, restore, replication. - Scripting/Programming: Python, Bash (or equivalent). - Observability: Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace. - Agile/Scrum: Jira, Confluence. - Proactive problem‑solving and strong communication. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Security certifications (CISSP, GSEC, OSCP, AWS Security Specialty) considered a plus. - Experience in regulated industries (finance, payment, healthcare) is advantageous.
