Job Description
Job Title: DevOps and Cloud Systems Engineer Role Summary: Design, provision, and automate enterprise IT infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and compliance through IaC, scripting, and CI/CD. Collaborate with developers and IT staff to support reliable, cost‑efficient operations. Expectations: - Deliver secure, automated infrastructure deployments with repeatable pipelines. - Maintain 99.9% uptime for critical services via monitoring, alerting, and incident response. - Adhere to security best practices and compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, PCI, OWASP). - Continuously improve provisioning, patching, and automation scripts. Key Responsibilities: - Automate Office 365 / EntraID integration, SSO, SCIM provisioning, and lifecycle management. - Implement RBAC, least‑privilege policies, and secure identity access across cloud and SaaS. - Provision, configure, and manage virtual machines, containers, storage, and networking in Azure, AWS, or GCP. - Patch and harden Windows and Linux servers; enforce compliance policies. - Build and maintain backup / disaster‑recovery processes for cloud and on‑prem workloads. - Develop automation scripts in PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible, and Bash. - Create API integrations with HR, billing, SaaS, and monitoring platforms. - Administer SD‑WAN, firewalls, DNS, and security protocols (DNSSEC, SPF, DKIM, DMARC). - Monitor systems with RMM, MDR, Azure Monitor, and similar tools; set up alerts and log aggregation. - Conduct incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortems. - Manage endpoint patching for servers, desktops, and mobile devices. - Maintain system inventory, audit reports, and cloud governance controls. Required Skills: - 5+ years of cloud and system administration experience. - Proficiency in Office 365, Azure AD, AWS, and identity & access management. - Strong scripting: PowerShell, Python, Bash. - Expertise in IaC: Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines. - Networking knowledge: DNS, SD‑WAN, VPNs, firewalls. - Security fundamentals: firewall, DNSSEC, SPD, DKIM, DMARC, EDR, vulnerability management. - Familiarity with RMM tools (e.g., Atera) and monitoring platforms. - Excellent troubleshooting, incident response, and analytical skills.
