Job title: Security and Infrastructure Engineer Lead
Role Summary: Lead security and infrastructure initiatives for a compliance‑focused organization, balancing cybersecurity controls, incident response, and infrastructure reliability.
Expactations:
- Deliver 3–5 security controls aligned with NIST 800‑171 & CMMC Level 2 within 90 days.
- Maintain 99.9 % uptime of network, servers, and cloud services.
- Resolve 80 % of security incidents within 24 hrs of detection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and manage firewalls, endpoint protection, IAM, and SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability scans, patch management, and remediation tracking.
- Draft and update security policies, risk assessments, and incident playbooks.
- Design, deploy, and maintain network, server, and cloud (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS) environments.
- Support backup/recovery, business continuity, and on‑call rotation.
- Collaborate with IT leadership on documentation, performance reviews, and technology upgrades.
Required Skills:
- 4–7 yrs IT security or systems administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of NIST 800‑171, CMMC Level 2, SIEM, vulnerability management.
- Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and cloud platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, project/task management, and teamwork.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent).
- Security+ and at least one of Network+, Microsoft, AWS, or CMMC certification preferred.
