**Job Title**: Senior Application Developer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, test, and deploy complex business applications for a mortgage servicing platform using a cloud environment and Microsoft technologies. Lead small projects, collaborate in Agile teams, and support production systems with high‑quality code and documentation.
**Expectations**
- Deliver robust, maintainable code in .NET/.NET Core and C#.
- Apply Agile practices (XP, Scrum) to improve delivery velocity.
- Engage in full‑cycle development: design, coding, testing, deployment, and post‑implementation support.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Build and evolve cloud‑based services using AWS (EC2, SQS, SNS, Lambda, API Gateway, Container orchestration).
- Develop front‑end components with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and functional programming paradigms.
- Create and maintain SQL stored procedures, queries, and data transformations (SSIS, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Write unit tests, use design patterns, refactor for performance and readability.
- Perform system and user acceptance testing, troubleshoot production issues, and provide improvement recommendations.
- Prepare production releases and generate technical documentation.
- Mentor peers, manage small projects independently, and collaborate on larger initiatives.
**Required Skills**
- 6+ years of application development experience with .NET, C#, and cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML and front‑end frameworks.
- Practical experience with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (XP, Scrum) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in AWS components (EC2, SQS, SNS, Lambda, Containers, API Gateway).
- Understanding of design patterns, unit testing, and refactoring principles.
- Ability to work on Linux and with open‑source tools.
- Experience in financial services, especially mortgage servicing or related securities, is a plus.
- Exposure to AI coding assistants (e.g., AI Co‑pilot).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) preferred but not mandatory.
