Job Description
Job Title: Robotic Test System Developer Role Summary: Assist the lead test engineer to enhance and expand robotic test capabilities for Electroadhesive Drive systems. Develop new test functions, optimize existing ones, and help launch new custom test rigs to validate performance requirements across a range of motor, sensor, and electroadhesive products. Expactations: - Deliver functional test systems that meet specified performance metrics. - Manage iterations from concept through prototyping to production-ready validation. - Document test procedures, results, and analyze data to support product development and customer demonstrations. Key Responsibilities: - Design, program, and maintain robotic test rigs (e.g., rotary stands, high‑speed mounts, tensile testers). - Integrate motors, force sensors, encoders, and electroadhesives into test setups. - Calibrate sensors and tune PID controllers for accurate measurement and actuation. - Develop embedded C firmware and Python scripts for control, data acquisition, and reporting. - Perform statistical and failure analysis on test data; prepare technical summaries. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (CAD, FEA, manufacturing) to support new product introductions. - Contribute to documentation, presentations, and potential patent drafting.
