Job Title: Senior Software Engineer – Autonomy Performance Evaluation
Role Summary: Drive the performance engineering and validation of autonomous systems for heavy‑equipment platforms. Lead cross‑functional design, simulation, control algorithm development, embedded software, and data analytics to optimize system performance and reliability.
Expectations: Deliver high‑quality technical solutions, mentor junior engineers, manage performance metrics, and maintain compliance with industry and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and validate autonomous control algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink and embedded C/C++/C#.
- Conduct CFD (ANSYS) and FEA (ANSYS/ABAQUS) analyses to optimize propulsion, drivetrain, and powertrain systems.
- Establish test, validation, and HIL/SIL plans; perform root‑cause analysis and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
- Design and evaluate electronic control modules, PCB schematics, and perform FMEA.
- Build and maintain data analytics pipelines; apply machine learning and statistical methods to process and performance data.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to integrate solutions and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
- Advanced programming: C, C++, C#, MATLAB/Simulink, Python.
- Proficiency with CFD and FEA tools (ANSYS, etc.).
- Embedded systems development and HIL/SIL testing experience.
- Electronic hardware design, PCB schematic analysis, and FMEA documentation.
- Data analytics, machine learning fundamentals, statistical analysis.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and mentorship skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5–7+ years of professional experience in control systems or automotive/industrial autonomous development.
- Optional certifications in CAE software, embedded systems, or automotive electronics are a plus.
