Job Description
Job title: IT Manager / Information Technology Administrator Role Summary: Lead and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and alignment with business needs. Manage hardware, software, networks, data protection, and vendor relationships while driving continuous improvement and supporting all internal users. Expactations: Deliver uninterrupted, high‑quality IT services; act as sole point of contact for all IT issues; maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging technologies; support organizational growth with scalable solutions; demonstrate proactive problem‑solving and strong communication with non‑technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee servers, networks, workstations, software, and web services. - Provision, configure, and decommission employee workstations. - Maintain hardware inventory and license management. - Troubleshoot and resolve on‑site and remote incidents. - Implement cybersecurity measures, backups, and patch management. - Plan and execute IT projects (tool deployments, system migrations, integrations). - Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and operations to align technology solutions. - Manage external vendors and service contracts. - Conduct technology watch; recommend and implement continuous improvements. - Develop and monitor the IT budget. Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of information systems, network architecture, security protocols, and project management. - Proven experience in IT infrastructure management (servers, LAN/WAN, endpoints). - Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and provide clear solutions. - Vendor management and contract negotiation proficiency. - Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills. - Excellent communication and training abilities for diverse user levels. - Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. - Bilingual proficiency in French and English. - Familiarity with industrial automation environments is an asset. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. - 5–8 years of progressive IT experience, preferably in manufacturing or technology settings. - Certifications: CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ or equivalent; Microsoft Certified: Azure or Windows Server; Cisco CCNA/CCNP (preferred).
