Job title: Sr IT Administrator (Onsite)
Role Summary:
Senior IT Administrator responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and supporting the organization’s network infrastructure and computer hardware. Acts as first‑line support, designs high‑availability solutions, manages VPNs, firewalls, and network equipment, and ensures system security and compliance.
Expactations:
- Deliver reliable, secure IT services with 99.9%+ uptime for critical systems.
- Promptly resolve network, telecommunication, and workstation incidents.
- Continuously monitor, patch, and harden systems to meet industry security standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect organizational information assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st‑level support for network, telecom, and workstation issues.
- Design, implement, and maintain HA solutions using Linux DRBD (or CephFS, ZFS, Software RAID).
- Manage VPNs, firewalls, and overall network infrastructure.
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, unusual traffic, or intrusion attempts; apply patches and hardening procedures.
- Diagnose and replace defective hardware/software components; manage printers, phones, RF scanners, laptops, etc.
- Keep the 3CX phone system operational.
- Set up and configure workstations/laptops for staff; install required software tools.
- Participate in ongoing learning and professional development.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years system administration experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Linux DRBD, Windows Server (2012 R2+), Windows 10, Office 365, Office applications, and Microsoft security tools.
- Hands‑on experience with VPN, firewall, TCP/IP, and wireless configuration (Juniper, Cisco Wi‑Fi).
- Knowledge of high‑availability and replication technologies (CephFS, ZFS, RAID).
- Ability to troubleshoot desktop/laptop hardware and software.
- Strong communication, documentation, and incident‑management skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Industry‑standard certifications: A+, Network+, MCP, and preferably certifications in Linux, Windows Server, or network security.
