Job Description
**Job title**: Senior IT Administrator – Linux **Role Summary**: Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and upgrade of the organization’s Linux‑based network infrastructure, ensuring high availability (99.9 %+) through DRBD block‑level replication. Provides first‑line support for network, telephony, and workstation issues, and manages hardware and software across the enterprise. **Expectations**: - Deliver robust, fail‑over ready Linux systems. - Provide efficient first‑line support and rapid resolution of all IT incidents. - Maintain network performance and security. - Protect sensitive information and support confidentiality. - Continuously update technical knowledge and provide user training. **Key Responsibilities**: 1. Troubleshoot and resolve day‑to‑day network, telephony, and workstation problems. 2. Design, implement, and maintain high‑availability solutions using Linux DRBD for synchronous replication. 3. Monitor network performance, perform tuning, and analyze traffic to pre‑empt outages. 4. Diagnose hardware and software failures, replace defective components, and document resolutions. 5. Administer all network‑related hardware: routers, switches, printers, phones, RF scanners, laptops. 6. Maintain the 3CX VoIP phone system and associated Yealink hardware. 7. Lead training initiatives and support documentation for end‑users. 8. Engage in professional development, staying current with industry trends and certifications. 9.
