Job Description
Job title: Hardware Engineer (m/f/d) Role Summary: Design, develop, and validate electronic hardware solutions using Altium Designer or Eagle, progressing projects from concept through to mass production while optimizing performance, cost, and quality. Expectations: Deliver high‑quality hardware designs that meet industry standards, collaborate effectively with internal and external partners, and ensure timely project milestones from concept to production readiness. Key Responsibilities: - Develop schematic and PCB layouts for digital, analog, and power‑electronics circuits using Altium Designer or Eagle. - Lead hardware projects through concept, prototype, verification, and production phases. - Optimize circuit designs and PCB layouts for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. - Conduct functional, electrical, and reliability testing; analyze failures and implement corrective actions. - Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and quality‑assurance artifacts. - Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers to meet project requirements and timelines. Required Skills: - Proficient in Altium Designer or Eagle for schematic capture and PCB layout. - Solid understanding of digital and analog circuit design principles and power‑electronics concepts. - Experience with PCB fabrication, assembly, and testing processes. - Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis. - Excellent written and verbal communication in German (C1 level) and English. - Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary project teams. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field. - Professional certifications in PCB design or electronics engineering are advantageous but not mandatory.
