**Job Title:** Director of Product
**Role Summary**
Lead the global product organization of a fast‑growing SaaS company. Define strategy, drive execution through a dual‑track Agile framework, and coach Product Management teams. Act as the primary product gatekeeper, ensuring alignment between discovery, engineering delivery, and commercial objectives, while fostering a culture of data‑driven, lean innovation.
**Expectations**
- Own and execute the product vision and roadmap, translating business goals (retention, revenue, strategic growth) into actionable priorities.
- Provide high‑velocity decision making; serve as the final blocker resolver for scope and trade‑off discussions.
- Champion an AI‑first, experimentation‑driven product culture that balances speed and rigor.
- Act as the product advocate across sales, marketing, and customer success, communicating the strategy clearly to all stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Strategic Leadership** – Define product direction, partner with the Director of Engineering on R&D strategy, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- **Dual‑Track Agile Governance** – Oversee discovery and delivery tracks; ensure synchronization, prevent siloing, and align teams around shared objectives.
- **Roadmap & Portfolio Management** – Own the product scorecard, rolling roadmap, and capacity trade‑offs to maximize ROI.
- **People & Operational Excellence** – Coach and empower PMs, implement product operations standards, and maintain a transparent, low‑friction discovery environment.
- **Communication & Advocacy** – Represent product organization in executive‑level meetings, craft compelling narratives, and maintain stakeholder alignment across the company.
- **Scope & Risk Management** – Apply aggressive lean execution, resolve blockers early, and maintain product‑team autonomy through clear gatekeeping.
**Required Skills**
- Proven leadership of cross‑functional product teams (PMs, Designers, Product Ops).
- Deep experience with dual‑track Agile (Discovery / Delivery) and capacity planning.
- Strong analytical mindset: data‑driven decision making, hypothesis validation, and metrics ownership.
- Excellent communication: concise presentations, storytelling with the Pyramid Principle, and effective stakeholder negotiation.
- Coaching & mentorship abilities: raising Product IQ, fostering ownership, and implementing radical candor.
- AI‑first product mindset and experience driving AI‑enabled features.
- Stakeholder management across executive, engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education.
- Product Management certifications (e.g., AIPMM, Scrum Product Owner, Pragmatic Marketing) are a plus but not mandatory.
