**Job Title** Founding Software Engineer **Role Summary** Senior backend product engineer responsible for building and scaling the core AI dispatching engine for Probook’s home services platform. Collaborates closely with the CTO to design, prototype, and ship AI‑driven features at a rapid cadence, directly driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction. **Expactations** - Rapid onboarding; become productive within 2 days. - Deliver high‑impact features week‑by‑week; no long sprints. - Demonstrate exceptional coding skill (e.g., hackathon or coding competition success). - Own end‑to‑end product ownership from 0‑to‑1 with autonomy within a structured environment. - Maintain a strong bias for action, low‑maintenance engineering, and continuous learning of state‑of‑the‑art frameworks. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and implement scalable backend services for AI match‑making and dispatching. - Prototype and iterate on AI use cases (e.g., routing optimization, skill prediction). - Lead code reviews, enforce architectural standards, and avoid hacky solutions. - Work closely with product and customer teams to translate pain points into technical requirements. - Integrate AI development tools and pipelines to accelerate delivery. - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot, and continuously improve reliability. **Required Skills** - Strong backend engineering (Python, Go, Node.js, or similar). - Experience with AI/ML service integration (model serving, inference pipelines). - Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases, message queues, and distributed systems. - Solid understanding of API design, authentication, and data pipelines. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration. - Command of version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows. - Excellent problem‑solving, coding fundamentals, and ability to write clean, testable code. - Passion for product impact, strong product sense, and customer empathy. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, GCP Professional Data Engineer) preferred but not mandatory.
