Job Description

Job title: Backend Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain production‑grade backend services and APIs for an AI‑driven user interview platform, collaborating with leadership on technology strategy and product direction. Expectations: 3+ years of backend engineering experience, strong Python/Django proficiency, database expertise (Postgres), AWS deployment skills, and ability to lead projects from concept to production. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and implement scalable backend services, REST/GraphQL APIs, and real‑time data processing pipelines. - Develop and support in‑house Large Language Model integration and real‑time interview features. - Lead end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability. - Collaborate with CTO/CEO on technical strategy and product roadmap. - Gather and act on user feedback to iterate on core product functionality. Required Skills: - Python (Django or similar framework) for robust API development. - SQL database design and optimization (PostgreSQL preferred). - Cloud platform experience, primarily AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS). - Version control (Git) and CI/CD pipeline management. - Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities. Bonus/Preferred: - WebRTC or other real‑time data streaming technologies. - Experience with AI/ML model deployment and serving. - Familiarity with streaming platforms (Kafka, Pulsar).
