Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Platform Engineer – Salesforce **Role Summary:** Architect, develop, test, and maintain advanced Salesforce solutions for a global financial services organization. Partner with product owners, designers, and engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑performance applications across the Salesforce ecosystem, including CRM, Marketing Cloud, and financial services clouds. **Expectations:** - Deliver complex custom applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, batch Apex, and integrations. - Apply Test‑Driven Development, TDD, and modern agile practices to ensure code quality and rapid delivery. - Act as a subject‑matter expert for Salesforce platform capabilities and emerging technologies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, code, unit‑test, integration‑test, and document custom Salesforce solutions. - Integrate Salesforce with AWS and external REST/JSON services, using Java, Spring Boot, or comparable frameworks. - Build and maintain technical documentation, release notes, and support guides. - Provide day‑to‑day end‑user support, troubleshoot issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate escalations. - Facilitate system testing, create test scripts, and conduct test execution with business analysts. - Lead production release coordination and adopt Agile delivery methodologies. - Mentor junior engineers, share best practices, and embed continuous learning. **Required Skills:** - 5–7+ years of Salesforce development (Apex, Lightning, Platform Events, large data volumes). - Deep knowledge of CRM, Financial Services Cloud, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and advanced flows. - Experience with security concepts: authentication, authorization, encryption, SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect. - Proficiency in REST, JSON, event streaming, and integration with AWS services. - Advanced understanding of Salesforce best practices, performance optimization, and data model design. - Demonstrated use of agile methodologies, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, DevOps tools). - Strong communication, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills. **Preferred Skills:** - Vlocity/OmniStudio knowledge. - Automation testing tools: SOAPUI, Postman, Selenium. - Financial/insurance industry experience. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. - Salesforce Platform Developer I and Platform Developer II certifications strongly preferred.
