**Job title**
Senior Salesforce Developer
**Role summary**
Designs, develops, tests, and deploys custom Salesforce solutions for a global property‑and‑casualty insurer. Leads technical initiatives, mentors junior staff, and ensures integration with core insurance systems, maintaining high standards of security, performance, and regulatory compliance.
**Expectations**
- Deliver scalable, high‑quality Salesforce applications within Agile sprints.
- Bridge business requirements and technical implementation for Sales, Service, Marketing, and policy‑administration contexts.
- Maintain best practices, code quality, and documentation.
**Key responsibilities**
1. Conceptualize and build custom apps, components, and integrations (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Pardot).
2. Develop Apex, Visualforce, Lightning (Aura/LWC), Flows, and Process Builder solutions.
3. Implement REST/SOAP API, middleware (MuleSoft, Informatica), and ETL integrations with insurance core systems.
4. Lead code reviews, enforce development standards, and mentor junior developers.
5. Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to deliver releases.
6. Troubleshoot production issues, monitor system health, and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.
7. Maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and user guides.
**Required skills**
- Advanced Apex, SOQL, Lightning (Aura & LWC), Visualforce, Flows, Process Builder.
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce security, sharing rules, and data model.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and tools such as Copado or Gearset.
- Proficient with REST/SOAP APIs, middleware integration, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices, stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
**Required education & certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years total experience, 3+ years focused on Salesforce development.
- Certifications preferred: Salesforce Platform Developer II, Platform Developer I, Salesforce Administrator; AI or Data Cloud certifications a plus.
