Bayou Metal Supply & Manufacturing, LLC opened its doors in 2004 as a local distributor of aluminum plate and extrusions with a commitment to providing the best service, a diverse inventory, and competitive pricing to customers in Louisiana and throughout the Gulf Coast. Since our modest inception, the company’s strong faith in God and visionary leadership, with direct input from our customer base, has pursued an aggressive course of product line expansion into stainless steel and many other specialty metals. Bayou Metal Supply & Manufacturing is ISO 9001:2015 certified. We continue to expand the value-added services we offer to our customers. Our capabilities include two (2) CNC Routers processing up to 8′ x 40′ aluminum sheet and plate and a third with a 10’ x 40’ table. We have three AccurPress press breaks that include a 30’ break and two 12’ breaks. Over time we have advanced our fabrication to include Friction Stir Welding, Machine Shop, Welding, Precision saw cutting, shearing and on-site quality testing facility. Metal service centers provide customers with readily available aluminum, stainless steel, and other metals inventory and processing. Bayou Metal Supply & Manufacturing meets customer needs of available inventory and stands above our competition by providing reliable, efficient, and timely delivery, flexible minimum order size, and unsurpassed quality control. We focus on inventory management and materials management in the marine and related industries. Our decentralized management business model empowers our sales force to excel in their areas of expertise so that they can adapt and respond quickly to specific regional, market, and industry conditions. Job Title: Director of Sales and Marketing Role Summary: Lead and grow the sales and marketing functions for an aluminum and stainless products distributor, driving revenue, market share, and brand visibility through strategic planning and execution. Expectations: - Achieve defined revenue and profit targets within the aluminum distribution sector. - Expand the customer base and deepen relationships with key accounts across maritime, defense, and manufacturing industries. - Deliver measurable growth in brand awareness and lead generation through integrated marketing initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to reach revenue and profitability goals. - Manage and nurture key customer accounts; negotiate pricing, contracts, and long‑term supply agreements. - Identify and pursue new business opportunities, market segments, and partnership prospects. - Lead, coach, and motivate a sales team to maintain high performance and customer service standards. - Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity; adjust tactics accordingly. - Plan and implement marketing programs, including digital marketing, website content, trade shows, and advertising campaigns. - Produce marketing collateral—product catalogs, case studies, and sales aids—to support sales efforts. - Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and pricing dynamics. - Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and overall business planning processes. Required Skills: - 5–7+ years’ experience in sales and marketing within metals, aluminum, or industrial distribution. - Proven B2B sales, account management, and market development record. - Deep knowledge of aluminum products, fabrication processes, and end‑use industries (preferred). - Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. - Strategic thinking with business acumen and analytical skills. - Leadership and team‑building capabilities. - Results‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work independently and collaboratively. - Willingness to travel for client visits, trade shows, and industry events. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (preferred). - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Sales Professional, B2B Marketing certification) are an advantage.
