Job Description

Job Title: Medical Billing Internship (Undergraduate or Graduate) Role Summary: Internship focused on data analytics and reimbursement optimization within a healthcare billing team. Candidate will extract, transform, and load (ETL) data, analyze trends, create dashboards, and develop repeatable reporting processes to improve reimbursement success. Expectations: - Full‑time commitment (40 hours per week) - Internship period: May 11 – May 18 2026 to July 31 – August 7 2026 - Daily supervision and guidance - Training in HIPAA compliance and industry software (Quadax, SFDC) Key Responsibilities: - Pull and integrate data from multiple sources using ETL processes - Analyze quantitative data to identify trends and normalize KPIs - Build dashboards (Power BI, Excel) for performance monitoring - Design and document repeatable reporting workflows for team handoff - Conduct deep data dives to uncover opportunities for reimbursement improvement Required Skills: - Proficiency in Power BI and advanced Excel (pivot tables, data modeling) - Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities - Familiarity with data analysis concepts and reporting tools - Experience with dashboard development or data analytics tools is a plus Required Education & Certifications: - Undergraduate or graduate student in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Healthcare Management, or related field - Coursework in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or Healthcare Management preferred ---
