**Job title**
IT Team Lead (Full‑time, M/F)
**Role Summary**
Leads a global IT team that manages day‑to‑day operations of core applications for a financial services organisation. Drives application strategy, roadmap, and transformation initiatives while ensuring high service quality, security compliance, and efficient resource use.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 5 years of leadership in complex business‑oriented application environments, preferably insurance or financial services.
- Proven track record of delivering application solutions, managing legacy and cloud‑based systems, and leading successful program transformations.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in French and English.
- Ability to balance multiple high‑priority deliverables and maintain operational excellence.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Own application strategy, define and maintain the roadmap, and ensure alignment with business and technology objectives.
2. Ensure operational excellence: user support, end‑to‑end problem resolution, and continuous quality improvement.
3. Govern programs and projects, aligning them with business needs, timelines, and budgets.
4. Lead IT projects from design through production, driving delivery and performance.
5. Recommend and secure hardware, software, and human resources, set priorities, and communicate with senior SI leadership.
6. Manage budgets, track operational and capital expenditures, and report financial performance.
7. Build and maintain high‑quality relationships with partners and vendors, ensuring delivery meets agreed KPIs.
8. Collaborate with procurement to secure cost‑effective, compliant partnerships.
9. Facilitate communication across all departments, especially operational leadership, to promote understanding of initiatives and risks.
**Required Skills**
- Application lifecycle & portfolio management
- Strategic planning, roadmap creation, and technology transformation
- Project & program governance (PMP/Prince2/ITIL favored)
- Financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control
- Vendor/partner and contract management
- KPI definition, monitoring, and reporting
- Problem‑solving in high‑complexity, multi‑system environments
- Excellent written and spoken French; fluent English for technical exchanges
**Required Education & Certifications**
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field *or* equivalent professional experience.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, Prince2, ITIL, or similar are desirable.
