Job Description

**Job Title:** Ground Handler / Ramp Agent **Role Summary:** Provide comprehensive ground handling services to ensure safe, efficient, and customer‑focused operations for arriving and departing aircraft. Work as part of a team to deliver marshalling, push‑back, towing, fueling, baggage handling, de‑icing, and passenger assistance while adhering to safety, regulatory, and company standards. **Expectations:** - Flexible availability for shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. - Ability to work in adverse weather and respond to emergencies. - Strict compliance with health, safety, security, environmental, and data protection policies. - Maintain clear radio and electronic communication; perform equipment inspections and record‑keeping. - Demonstrate proactive, team‑oriented attitude and uphold company values. **Key Responsibilities:** - Marshal aircraft and perform push‑back/towing operations, including hangar manoeuvring. - Conduct manual handling of luggage and oversized items (>20 kg) safely. - Perform aircraft refuelling, fuel quality checks, and service water/toilet systems. - Execute baggage loading/unloading, de‑icing, and related quality control. - Provide special assistance to passengers, crew, and live animals. - Operate and maintain ground service equipment (cleaning, inspections, refuelling). - Communicate via radio, telecommunication, and electronic reporting systems. - Support customer service and crew as required; assist with ad‑hoc tasks. - Participate in mandatory training and continuous development. **Required Skills:** - Strong verbal and written communication; competent IT user. - Literacy and numeracy with ability to interpret calculations. - Pro‑active, can‑do attitude; capable of independent and team work. - Physical capability to lift >20 kg and perform manual handling tasks. - Ability to follow detailed procedures and safety protocols. - Knowledge of airside safety and radio procedures (desirable). - Experience driving LGVs or oversized vehicles (desirable). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Right to work in the UK (evidence required). - Full 5‑year employment/educational history with no gaps. - Ability to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check (CRC) at required security level. - Valid UK driving licence (or equivalent). - Eligibility for an Airside Driving Permit. - No specific formal education required; relevant ground‑handling experience preferred.
