**Job Title:** Founding ML/AI Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, and deploy agentic AI systems that enable businesses to provide personalized, two‑way customer engagement. Work directly with the founding team to shape product vision, roadmap, and technical strategy, focusing on large‑scale, real‑time intent recognition and recommendation.
**Expectations:**
Own the complete ML/AI pipeline from data ingestion and model training to production deployment and monitoring; lead rapid experimentation (A/B tests) to validate hypotheses; influence product decisions and engineering standards; mentor junior team members; stay current with cutting‑edge LLM and AI research and tooling.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Research, architect, prototype, and deploy LLM‑based solutions for intent understanding and personalized recommendation.
- Build and maintain internal tools, datasets, and evaluation pipelines to accelerate research to production.
- Run A/B tests and user experiments; analyze results to inform product iterations.
- Collaborate with founders and engineers to design scalable, production‑ready AI architectures.
- Write clean, well‑documented code; enforce code review, CI/CD, and best practices.
- Mentor teammates on AI concepts, model deployment, and experimentation methodology.
- Continuously monitor model performance, bias, and drift; iterate to maintain service quality.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong background in machine learning, NLP, and large‑scale LLMs (transformer architectures).
- Experience building real‑time recommendation or intent‑recognition systems.
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and data engineering tools (SQL, Pandas, Spark).
- Familiarity with MLOps practices: model serving, monitoring, and versioning.
- Experience designing and conducting A/B tests and interpreting statistical results.
- Git proficiency; comfortable with PRs, branching, and code review workflows.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and customer‑obsessed mindset.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, TensorFlow Developer) are a plus but not mandatory.
