**Job Title**
Infrastructure Engineer
**Role Summary**
The Infrastructure Engineer supports the organization’s technology infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance. This role involves system design, implementation, advanced endpoint support, network administration, SharePoint Online expertise, and active participation in security and disaster recovery initiatives.
**Expectations**
- Deliver rapid, courteous technical assistance to end users.
- Independently prioritize tasks and manage projects aligning with business objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for core system issues.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, plan, implement, and tune systems (servers, VMs, network hardware).
- Administer Active Directory, Office 365, SharePoint Online, and related Microsoft 365 services.
- Perform hardware troubleshooting, imaging, and asset inventory management.
- Monitor, patch, and secure endpoints, networks, firewalls, and switches.
- Execute vulnerability remediation, configuration backups, firmware upgrades, and endpoint protection.
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and compliance initiatives (e.g., NIST 800‑53).
- Manage helpdesk tickets, documentation, and user onboarding/offboarding.
- Liaise with stakeholders for project completion and continuous improvement.
**Required Skills**
- Strong knowledge of Windows (10/11, Server 2016/2019/2022), Linux (Ubuntu, Synology DSM), and virtualization.
- Proficiency in network configuration (VPN, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, switches, Wi‑Fi).
- SharePoint Online administration and Microsoft 365 management.
- Experience with backup, patch management, EDR, and security tools (EDR, Entra ID, SonicWall).
- Ability to manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and password resets.
- Excellent customer‑service orientation, written and verbal communication.
- Project management, prioritization, and problem‑solving capabilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: Microsoft 365 Administration, Network+ / CCNA, Linux+ / LPIC‑1, Security+ (or equivalent).
