**Job Title:** Senior Product Developer
**Role Summary:**
Lead end‑to‑end product development across multiple categories, translating design sketches into market‑ready garments while managing cost, margin, and quality objectives within a high‑end brand environment.
**Expectations:**
- Own the product life‑cycle from concept to production, ensuring alignment with brand identity, margin targets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Design, Technical, Production) and external vendors to deliver prototypes, sales samples, and final products on schedule.
- Analyze costs, negotiate with suppliers, and optimize the Bill of Materials (BOM) to drive profitability without compromising quality.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Translate design sketches into detailed technical specifications and production-ready samples.
- Manage material sourcing, vendor engineering, and cost analysis for raw materials, trims, labour, and logistics.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and lead times with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Own BOM in PLM from prototype to finished product.
- Collaborate with Head of Product Development and Head of Production to create category‑specific seasonal development calendars.
- Produce accurate product specifications, size charts, trim details, construction methods, and fit comments.
- Oversee proto fittings, communicate updates to internal teams and vendors, and ensure final garments meet design intent.
- Maintain a library of samples, prototypes, and material references.
- Provide product expertise and support internal training and technical teams.
- Build and sustain effective vendor relationships through ongoing communication and visits.
- Support quality risk identification and resolution in collaboration with the Technical department.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years in product development for multi‑category fashion or high‑end brands.
- Proficient with PLM systems (e.g., Lectra, EnVision, Centric).
- Experience managing third‑party suppliers across Europe and worldwide.
- Strong project management, organization, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to negotiate, optimize costs, and manage margins.
- Knowledge of fit, fabric performance, and technical specifications.
- Leadership experience with managing or mentoring team members.
- Adaptability, self‑motivation, and a “can‑do” attitude.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or related field (preferred, not mandatory).
- Industry certifications in product development or PLM (e.g., Certified Textile Professional) are advantageous.
