About the Company

Etablissement public de santé mentale pour enfants, adolescents, adultes, personnes âgées et personnes en situation de handicap psychique. Les professionnels de l’Établissement Public de Santé Mentale de la Sarthe proposent des actions de prévention, de diagnostic et de soins en santé mentale sur l’ensemble du département de la Sarthe (20 000 patients/an). L’établissement gère 6 secteurs de psychiatrie générale (personnes de 16 ans et plus) et 2 secteurs de psychiatrie infanto-juvénile (moins de 16 ans). D’autres services assurent des prises en charge spécifiques : conduites addictives, problématiques suicidaires, situation de précarité, personnes détenues à la maison d’arrêt, périnatalité, diagnostic autisme et repérage précoce des TND ... Ces dispositifs sont répartis sur l’ensemble du territoire (plus de 30 points), afin d’être au plus près de la population sarthoise. Les soins en santé mentale reposent principalement aujourd’hui sur des prises en charge dites ambulatoires (sans hébergement). En psychiatrie, l’hospitalisation est le dernier recours. Les alternatives à l’hospitalisation complète sont au cœur de l’offre proposée. Des partenariats avec les Centres Hospitaliers, leurs urgences et leurs services permettent également de répondre à la demande de consultations et d’avis psychiatrique, sans systématiquement hospitaliser en psychiatrie. S’appuyant sur l’engagement de ses 1500 professionnels, l’établissement développe continuellement de nouveaux projets pour garantir la meilleure réponse aux besoins de la population sarthoise. Situé à 1h de Paris en TGV, 2h en voiture de la mer, de Paris et des métropoles de l’Ouest, l’EPSM de la Sarthe fait partie du GHT de la Sarthe, dont l’établissement support est le CH du Mans, l’un des plus importants Centres Hospitaliers non universitaires de France.
