**Job title** Help Desk Technician – Temporary Internship (3 months) **Role Summary** Provide first‑line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. Resolve incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, document solutions, and deliver user training while maintaining high customer satisfaction. **Expectations** - Act as primary point of contact for support requests. - Deliver timely, effective solutions within a 3‑month internship. - Communicate clearly in English and French (bilingual). - Maintain detailed ticketing records and documentation. **Key Responsibilities** - Respond to service incidents and log tickets accurately. - Perform entry‑level to intermediate technical/application interventions. - Conduct root‑cause analysis and manage escalation to senior teams. - Guide end users through troubleshooting processes. - Record start/end times and work details instantly in the ticketing system. - Ensure best‑practice adherence and high customer satisfaction. - Create and update SOPs, training manuals, and documentation. - Provide end‑user training on systems and processes. - Maintain knowledge of Groupe Touchette portfolio and operational context. **Required Skills** - Strong IT proficiency (hardware, software, basic networking). - Experience or education within 1–3 years in a help desk/IT support role. - Effective written and verbal communication (English ≥ advanced, French preferred). - Excellent interpersonal skills; patient, customer‑friendly, team‑oriented. - Analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a proactive mindset. - Ability to produce clear documentation and training materials. - Adherence to security and IT procedures. **Required Education & Certifications** - College diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. - Equivalent practical experience acceptable. - No mandatory certifications, but familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and basic ITIL concepts is a plus.
