Manage physician data, resolve credentialing deficiencies, support the Senior Director of Patient Business Services, and coordinate training, meetings, and documentation for managed‑care plans. **Expectations** - Complete credentialing and re‑credentialing workflows within set deadlines. - Maintain an accurate, up‑to‑date physician database and documentation files. - Communicate effectively with physicians, clinic staff, and managed‑care representatives. - Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and a customer‑service mindset. - Support departmental meetings, training sessions, and special projects. **Key Responsibilities** 1. **Credentialing** – gather required information, use Medicare/Medicaid online systems, troubleshoot deficiencies, and submit applications for managed‑care plans. 2. **Database & Documentation** – maintain credentialing database, upload documents, prepare reports, and keep files current for each employed physician. 3. **Provider Support** – serve as a resource for physicians and staff regarding plan participation, licensing updates, and document requirements. 4. **Meeting & Training Coordination** – schedule, arrange facilities and catering, prepare agendas, and ensure necessary equipment for MCNG and other meetings. 5. **Clerical & Administrative Duties** – compose letters, memoranda, and reports; manage telephone calls; maintain professional front‑office image; supervise file system upkeep. 6. **Insurance & Compliance** – request Certificates of Insurance and verify professional liability coverage. **Required Skills** - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). - Strong data entry, spreadsheet management, and report generation. - Detailed‑oriented with excellent organizational and time‑management skills. - Effective written and verbal communication. - Knowledge of managed‑care credentialing processes and NCQA documentation. - Ability to resolve problems, work independently, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. - Customer‑service orientation and professionalism. **Required Education & Certifications** - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum of 2 years (24 months) of college coursework in healthcare administration, health information technology, health sciences, public health, social sciences, business administration, or a related field. - No specific certification required, but familiarity with managed‑care or NCQA standards is preferred.
