**Job title:**
General Accountant
**Role Summary:**
Responsible for the complete accounting cycle, tax filings, payroll processing, and sales administration. Coordinates cross‑functional projects, maintains compliance, and provides accurate financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver high‑quality, timely financial statements and tax returns.
- Maintain accurate and compliant bookkeeping for all statutory and internal statements.
- Operate within established internal controls and procedures.
- Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies, and improve reporting tools.
- Demonstrate strong service orientation, organization, and teamwork.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Record all journal entries: receipts, supplier payments, bank reconciliations, and cut‑off calculations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including group reports.
- Compile, file, and file timely corporate tax, VAT, and other statutory returns; calculate taxable results.
- Draft and file fiscal and regulatory annexes (liasse fiscale).
- Support budgeting processes and monitor financial performance using dashboards.
- Manage payroll calculations for commissions, salary payments, and related tax deductions.
- Process payroll entries, validate salary transfers, and file required payroll taxes (e.g., Agefiph).
- Generate sales revenue reports, monitor invoicing and collections via CRM (Salesforce).
- Set up new customers, validate billing data, and reconcile ERP (Gescoff) with CRM.
- Ensure legal and contractual compliance for all service providers and partners.
- Coordinate transversal projects to formalize accounting practices, update the accounting reference framework, and enhance tools.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong knowledge of French accounting standards and statutory compliance (corporate tax, VAT, payroll).
- Proficiency in accounting software (ERP) and CRM platforms (Salesforce).
- Excellent bank reconciliation, cut‑off, and year‑end closing skills.
- Ability to prepare detailed financial reports and tax filings.
- Analytical skills for variance analysis and KPI monitoring.
- Solid payroll processing and tax declaration knowledge.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management.
- High level of accuracy, organization, and meeting deadlines.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Bac +3) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management; Master’s (Bac +5) preferred.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant) advantageous but not mandatory.
