Job Description
**Job Title** Junior Buyer/Demand and Supply Planner **Role Summary** Combine procurement and demand‑supply planning functions to ensure 100% OTIF through accurate forecasting, production scheduling, and timely purchasing of direct and indirect materials in a food/CPG manufacturing setting. **Expectations** - Deliver reliable supply plans that align with sales and production targets. - Maintain high accuracy in demand forecasts and order processing. - Communicate effectively across sales, operations, logistics, and finance teams. - Consistently adhere to company purchasing policies and compliance requirements. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and update 12‑month supply and demand plans for PET and PL customers. - Participate in S&OP and commercialization meetings; support new product launches and discontinuations. - Assist in procurement of direct/indirect materials, handle purchase orders, and monitor supplier delivery schedules. - Track inventory levels, forecast demand, and prevent stockouts or overstock. - Analyze forecast accuracy, conduct statistical analyses of sales data, and propose improvements. - Lead OTIF analysis, reporting, and weekly review meetings. - Maintain accurate procurement documentation (POs, contracts, supplier correspondence). - Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, track contracts and vendor agreements. - Coordinate with warehouse/logistics on receiving dates and in‑bound shipping documents. - Liaise with accounting on past‑due accounts and financial reconciliation. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities. - Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, VBA/macros). - Proficiency in SAP (esp. MRP, detailed production scheduling, capacity evaluation). - Experience with demand and supply planning processes. - Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. **Required Education & Certifications** - Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. - 2–3 years experience in food or CPG manufacturing environment. - Minimum 1 year planning experience using ERP/SAP. - No specific certifications required, but familiarity with SAP and advanced Excel is essential.
