Job Description
Job Title: DevOps Engineer Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure for mission‑critical financial applications. Automate building, testing, and deployment processes using IaC while ensuring high availability, compliance, and performance across cloud and on‑prem environments. Expectations: Educate teams on best practices, lead automation initiatives, and actively support 24/7 operations with on‑call rotations. Deliver reliable releases and disaster‑recovery (DR) readiness. Key Responsibilities: - Architect, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. - Provision and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible for cloud (Azure) and on‑prem (OpenShift/VM) platforms. - Build and refine monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.) ensuring production reliability. - Integrate security controls and compliance checks into DevOps workflows, collaborating with security teams. - Automate routine tasks via Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages. - Participate in on‑call rotations to monitor alerts, resolve incidents, and improve monitoring stack. - Develop tooling to enhance developer experience and platform productivity. - Coordinate scheduled releases and conduct DR weekend check‑outs. Required Skills: - 7+ years in DevOps/SRE or related role. - Proven CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance expertise. - Strong proficiency in Terraform and Ansible. - Advanced scripting in Python, Bash, or equivalent. - Experience with Azure, OpenShift, and virtual machine infrastructure. - Deep knowledge of monitoring/logging/alerting systems. - Understanding of security and compliance standards in regulated environments. - Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred). - Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Professional, Red Hat Certified Engineer, Terraform Associate, or equivalent) are advantageous.
