Job Description
Job Title: Cloud Architect Role Summary: Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud architectures across public, private, and hybrid environments, aligning technical solutions with business objectives. Expectations: Deliver end‑to‑end cloud strategies, lead migration projects, enforce security compliance, optimize performance, and mentor cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities - Design high‑performance, secure, and cost‑optimized cloud architectures meeting complex business requirements. - Develop comprehensive cloud strategies, adoption plans, and migration roadmaps translating business goals into technical solutions. - Lead migration of large, multi‑tier applications from on‑premises to cloud, ensuring minimal disruption. - Implement robust security controls, encryption, and access policies to meet regulations such as CGPR, HIPAA, and ISO standards. - Continuously monitor performance, availability, and cost; apply enhancements and cost‑saving measures. - Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams, providing technical leadership and mentorship. - Produce and maintain detailed architectural documentation, diagrams, and standards for cloud environments. - Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption to drive innovation. Required Skills Technical - Expert knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid cloud environments. - Deep understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls), virtualization, and storage. - Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM). - Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). - Scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Java) for automation. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Soft - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non‑technical audiences. - Proven leadership and project management capabilities fostering cross‑team collaboration. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred). - Minimum 5+ years designing and implementing cloud solutions, with technical operations or software development experience. - Certifications: at least one of - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional / Associate - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert - Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect - Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) - CompTIA Cloud+ (vendor‑neutral)
