Founded in 1965, the nonprofit Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) is one of the oldest and largest membership associations for industrial design professionals. IDSA has thousands of members in dozens of Professional Chapters, Student Chapters, and Special Interest Sections in the United States and internationally. Since 1980, IDSA has produced the annual International Design Excellence Awards® (IDEA), which remains the world’s most rigorous, prestigious, and influential design awards program. Job Description

**Job Title:** Rendering & AI Visualization Intern **Role Summary:** Support the Industrial Design team by creating high‑fidelity product renderings and exploring AI‑powered visualization tools to help clients visualise concepts. **Expectations:** Student or recent graduate with a self‑starter attitude, a strong rendering portfolio, and a curiosity for AI experimentation. **Key Responsibilities:** - Monitor and report on new AI visualization methods, software updates, and best practices. - Build and maintain a living guide of AI workflows for context renderings, animation, and concept iteration. - Experiment with AI tools to accelerate sketching, rendering, and ideation. - Create high‑fidelity renderings of product concepts using KeyShot or equivalent tools. - Develop storyboards, mood boards, and visual narratives for client presentations. - Collaborate with senior designers to iterate styling directions quickly. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in KeyShot (or similar rendering software). - Hands‑on experience with AI tools such as Midjourney, Krea, Vizcom. - Strong portfolio demonstrating rendering, composition, lighting, and material representation. - Solid understanding of form development and aesthetics. - Self‑starter mindset; eager to learn, experiment, and push boundaries. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Pursuing or completed a degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Architecture, or a related field.
