Job Description

Job title: Architectural Technologist Role Summary: Provide BIM and drafting expertise for large residential schemes, ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and coordinating design and construction documentation. Expactations: Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience on UK residential projects; CIAT registration required. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and coordinate Revit models and detailed drawings (Stage 3–6) for large residential developments. • Prepare and maintain NBS Chorus specifications, incorporating consultant input. • Resolve on‑site technical issues, ensuring adherence to Building Regulations and fire safety guidance. • Lead internal and external coordination meetings, managing programmes and budgets. • Mentor junior staff on construction detailing and BIM workflows. Required Skills: • Advanced proficiency in Revit; competent in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max. • Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, NHBC standards, fire‑safety guidance, and current design standards. • Proven ability to produce high‑quality technical packages and construction details. • Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of independent work and multidisciplinary collaboration. Required Education & Certifications: CIAT registration; relevant UK residential construction qualifications.
