**Job Title:** Senior System Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead the development, integration, validation, and management of complex real‑time and safety‑critical systems for commercial and military platforms. Drive system architecture design, requirements engineering, simulation, and testing across multidisciplinary domains (electronics, mechanics, optics, software). Mentor junior engineers and ensure alignment with customer needs and best‑practice lifecycle processes.

- Maintain high‑quality documentation and traceability throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration and continuous improvement through Agile practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Understand and translate customer requirements into system specifications and architecture.
- Employ Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques using SysML, DOORS, Polarion, Enterprise Architect, MATLAB/Simulink.
- Design, model, simulate, and analyze system components and interfaces across electronics, mechanics, optics, and software.
- Conduct integration, analysis, and verification of real‑time systems, including safety assessment and verification testing.
- Coordinate technical work packages, manage schedules, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers on technical issues, ensuring requirements are met and agreements are documented.
- Promote and apply best‑practice practices such as Learn First, Agile, and continuous integration.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience in systems engineering for control systems or real‑time displays in safety‑critical environments.
- Strong background in requirements management, system modeling, and simulation.
- Proficiency with MBSE tools (DOORS, Polarion, Enterprise Architect, MATLAB/Simulink) and SysML methodology.
- Ability to integrate multidisciplinary components and troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Experience in mentoring and leading engineering teams.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field.
- Equivalent professional qualifications or demonstrated competency in systems engineering are acceptable.
