Job Description
Job Title: AI / ML & Research Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, and deploy AI models for airline yield‑management optimization within an aviation operating system. Lead end‑to‑end model lifecycle from research to production, driving technical strategy and rapid iteration. Expectations: 2‑8 years of relevant experience (PhD preferred but not mandatory). Demonstrated ability to translate research into production‑grade solutions. High motivation to impact product and company growth in a small, dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct advanced research in deep learning, reinforcement learning, or related optimization techniques for pricing and revenue management. • Prototype and benchmark models, then refactor for scalability and reliability in a production environment. • Collaborate with data engineering, product, and business teams to define problem scope, gather requirements, and validate outcomes. • Own end‑to‑end model lifecycle: data preprocessing, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. • Communicate findings and model performance to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives. • Contribute to strategic roadmap of AI capabilities, proposing new research directions that support market differentiation. Required Skills: • Strong foundation in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and reinforcement learning algorithms. • Experience applying RL or optimization methods to business problems, preferably in revenue or pricing. • Proficiency in model training, hyper‑parameter tuning, and performance evaluation. • Familiarity with cloud or on‑prem scaling of ML workloads (GPU, distributed training). • Ability to write clean, modular, production‑ready code and maintain documentation. • Excellent problem‑solving and conceptual thinking, with a curiosity to experiment and iterate rapidly. • Bonus: knowledge of Agentic AI concepts and experience building agent‑based systems. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or related field. • Master’s or PhD preferred, especially with publication or research in deep learning/ RL for optimization. ---
