**Job Title** Lead Software Engineer – Salesforce **Role Summary** Lead the technical delivery of a digital platform strategy focused on Salesforce adoption while maintaining legacy systems. Provide hands‑on engineering leadership, design secure, scalable solutions, and mentor a cross‑functional team to upskill in Salesforce technologies. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality, compliant solutions on time and within scope. - Mentor and grow team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning. - Bridge product strategy and technical implementation, ensuring feasibility and risk mitigation. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect and oversee the development of Salesforce (Apex, Lightning) and legacy system enhancements. - Drive architectural decisions, balancing new Salesforce initiatives with ongoing support of legacy platforms. - Ensure technical actions, commitments, and decisions are documented, tracked, and completed to high standards. - Mentor engineers, embed structured upskilling and cross‑skilling; manage transition to Salesforce skill sets. - Translate product owner requirements into technical outcomes, identifying risks and aligning solutions with the roadmap. - Maintain engineering discipline: enforce delivery practices, lifecycle processes, and compliance with PCI‑DSS, Cyber Essentials+, and other security standards. - Champion performance, reliability, and resilience; promote test‑driven development and engineering best practices. - Review and approve third‑party technical deliverables, ensuring alignment with internal quality standards. **Required Skills** - Strong software engineering background (Java, React/React Native). - Proficient in Salesforce development (Apex, Lightning, REST/SOAP APIs). - Experience with API integration, system architecture, and secure design. - Proven leadership of engineering teams in regulated/financial services environments. - Expertise across the SDLC, Agile delivery, and DevOps practices. - Ability to mentor, coach, and upskill technical staff. - Knowledge of compliance standards (PCI‑DSS, Cyber Essentials+). **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Salesforce Platform Developer II certification (preferred). - Salesforce Administrator certification (desired). - Relevant security or compliance certifications (e.g., PCI‑DSS, Cyber Essentials+).
