Job Description
Job title: PHP Software Engineer Role Summary: Dynamic full‑stack PHP engineer responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying secure, high‑performance features within an agile fulfillment product team. Focus on clean code, SOLID principles, and continuous improvement of development practices. Expectations: - Deliver quality code on time with minimal supervision. - Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle. - Participate in on‑site visits (weekly) and out‑of‑hours production support. Key Responsibilities: - Develop scalable, maintainable PHP 8+ solutions using Laravel (10/11/12). - Write clean, well‑documented code that meets functional and non‑functional requirements. - Contribute to feature conception, design, and implementation, emphasizing security best practices. - Conduct code reviews, share knowledge, and help raise team standards. - Identify and communicate project risks; propose mitigation strategies. - Support production systems, including incident handling and out‑of‑hours rotation. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous process and tool improvement. Required Skills: - 2–3 years professional software engineering experience. - Expertise in PHP 8+ and Laravel 10/11/12. - Strong OOP and SOLID/Clean‑Code principles. - JavaScript ES6+ with VueJS 2/3 and TypeScript. - Experience with MySQL (5.7/8.x) and Redis. - Test‑Driven Development using PHPUnit and mocking frameworks. - REST/SOAP API design and consumption. - Git source control; CI/CD with GitHub Actions or CircleCI. - Agile methodology knowledge (Scrum, Kanban). - AWS services (EC2, SQS, RDS, ElastiCache) proficiency. Additional Desired Skills (not mandatory): - Event‑driven architecture, message queues (Laravel Horizon, SQS). - Containerization and Kubernetes. - Microservices / SOA. - Front‑end techs: HTML, CSS, SaSS, TailwindCSS. - Testing tools: Cypress, Selenium. - NoSQL (DynamoDB). - DevSecOps & IaC practices. - PCI‑DSS experience. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Laravel certification) are a plus.
