**Job Title:** Generative AI Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead end‑to‑end deployment, integration, and optimization of Gen AI platforms in enterprise environments. Design and automate scalable machine‑learning pipelines, secure model serving, and custom extensions while ensuring compliance and reliability. Serve as senior technical lead, mentoring peers and providing critical field feedback to product teams.
**Expectations:**
- 10+ years of software, infrastructure, or applied ML engineering.
- Proven expertise in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, and backend development.
- Deep understanding of Agent orchestration, LangChain, LangWatch, and vertex AI or equivalent.
- Strong CI/CD, IaC, and cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Deployment Engineering** – Architect and implement PHTN.ai platform integrations, build robust pipelines, deploy and scale models with Docker/Kubernetes, automate through CI/CD and IaC.
2. **AI Platform Integration & Optimization** – Develop custom SDKs, APIs, micro‑services for data preprocessing, feature engineering, and real‑time inference; optimize serving, caching, and resource allocation for low‑latency, high‑throughput.
3. **Reliability, Security & Compliance** – Design resilient, observable solutions; enforce encryption, identity management, and network security; satisfy SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements.
4. **Engineering Leadership & Technical Escalation** – Act as senior technical lead on customer deployments; resolve complex engineering challenges; collaborate with client teams to embed the platform into production workflows; feed insights back to product and core engineering.
5. **Enablement & Knowledge Sharing** – Produce reusable deployment templates, automation scripts, playbooks; mentor Forward Deploy Engineers on deployment patterns, DevOps practices, and ML systems engineering.
**Required Skills:**
- Programming: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar backend languages.
- Agent development, LangChain, LangWatch, MCP, Vertex AI, OpenAI.
- Cloud: AWS, GCP, Azure – Kubernetes, serverless, container orchestration.
- Infrastructure: Terraform, Helm, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog.
- API design, distributed systems, data engineering workflows.
- SRE principles, performance profiling, scaling strategies.
- Enterprise security (SSO, RBAC, encryption, API security), compliance (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Strong debugging, problem‑solving, communication, and leadership in ambiguous environments.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Kubernetes) are highly valued.
