Job Description

Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Developer (VMware, Virtualisation) Role Summary: Lead design, integration, and automation of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)‑based infrastructures across global environments. Utilize Python, Ansible, and proprietary CM tools to build scalable, resilient virtualization stacks, drive API‑driven infrastructure‑on‑demand solutions, and support both brownfield and greenfield rollouts. Expectations: Deliver complex automation and integration work within aggressive project timelines, operate independently with minimal oversight, collaborate across distributed, multicultural teams, and maintain alignment with vendor best practices and internal standards for security, reliability, and automation. Key Responsibilities: - Architect, implement, and automate configuration management for large‑scale VCF platforms using Python and Ansible. - Engineer and expose APIs to enable infrastructure‑on‑demand services and seamless interaction between on‑prem and third‑party tools. - Lead lab testing, certification, and integration of new hardware/software components into existing infrastructure. - Gather stakeholder requirements and design scalable, resilient solutions. - Ensure technical alignment with vendor best practices and internal reliability, security, and automation standards. - Resolve complex technical challenges independently and drive project execution to meet aggressive deadlines. Required Skills: - Extensive Python‑based infrastructure automation experience (installation, configuration, management). - Hands‑on with Ansible and Infrastructure as Code practices. - Deep understanding of VMware virtualization (VCF, vSphere, vSAN). - Strong fundamentals in TCP/IP, DNS, Linux, distributed systems. - Experience integrating APIs and automating workflows across hybrid infrastructure stacks. - Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and modern SDLC practices. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. - VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent VMware Cloud certification (preferred). - Linux Foundation Certified Engineer (LFCE) or similar (preferred).
