We are a Bermuda-domiciled, nonprofit mutual organization authorized by the Department of Labor as a Group Self-Insurer. **Job title** VP, Head of IT **Role Summary** Lead Signal’s technology strategy, aligning IT initiatives with business growth and operational resilience. Oversees core insurance systems, enterprise architecture, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, and AI integration. Builds a high‑performing IT team, manages vendor relationships, and advises senior leadership and the Board on technology trends, risks, and opportunities. **Expactations** - 15+ years progressive IT leadership; 10+ in insurance or top‑tier consulting. - Proven enterprise tech strategy, large‑scale transformation, and vendor management. - Deep knowledge of core insurance applications (policy administration, claims, billing, CRM, digital engagement). - Executive communication skill set to present to senior leaders and Board. - Financial acumen for multi‑million dollar technology budgets. **Key Responsibilities** - Define and execute IT strategy to support business goals. - Partner with senior leadership to align tech initiatives with objectives. - Advise leadership and Board on technology trends, risks, and opportunities. - Oversee core insurance systems (claims, underwriting, portal) and integration strategy. - Manage enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cloud (Azure) adoption, and cyber/data security programs. - Drive modernization toward scalable, cloud‑based, API‑enabled solutions. - Lead AI adoption to derive business insights and efficiency; embed AI across solutions. - Build, mentor, and lead a hybrid IT team across application management, service delivery, cloud, infrastructure, and security. - Champion change management, continuous improvement, and collaborative culture. - Ensure regulatory, compliance, and cybersecurity standards; oversee business continuity and disaster recovery. - Maintain vendor governance and performance accountability. **Required Skills** - Strategic thinking, risk management, decision‑making, prioritization, execution. - Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, cloud computing; experience with Azure DevOps, MuleSoft, Salesforce, Workday preferred. - Data management, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance. - AI, automation, digital initiative implementation. - Strong communication, influencing, presentation skills. - Financial management of technology budgets. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). - Certifications in Microsoft Azure (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, or higher), ITIL, or relevant cloud/vulnerability/AI certifications are advantageous.
