Job Description

Job title: Software Engineering Intern – Summer 2026 Role Summary: Hands‑on full‑stack development internship focused on building internal tools and customer‑facing features using React, React Native, Django, and related technologies. Work within an agile startup environment on production‑ready projects from ideation to deployment under senior mentorship. Expectations: - Complete a full end‑to‑end software project during an 11‑week period. - Participate actively in code reviews, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives. - Document code and architectural decisions for team knowledge sharing. - Demonstrate growth in coding proficiency, best practices, and startup development cadence. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain web and mobile components with React/React Native. - Build API endpoints and services using Django/Node.js with AWS hosting. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine user stories. - Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests; ensure high code coverage. - Contribute to technical documentation and internal knowledge bases. - Research and recommend emerging tools and libraries to improve product quality. Required Skills: - Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript). - Hands‑on experience with React (web) and React Native (mobile) development. - Comfortable with Django or equivalent backend frameworks. - Solid understanding of relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases and RESTful API design. - Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS) and CI/CD pipelines. - Proficient version control using Git and experience with pull requests/code reviews. - Ability to troubleshoot complex bugs and optimize application performance. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Self‑motivated and able to work independently while collaborating within a team.
