**Job Title:** Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure (Mid‑Level or Senior)
**Role Summary:**
Design, build, and maintain the internal platform that enables Clever’s engineering teams to develop, deploy, and monitor scalable services. Drive reliability, automation, and best‑practice adoption across AWS environments, while improving developer experience and supporting multi‑region resiliency.
**Expectations:**
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily backend.
- Strong proficiency with Kubernetes (required) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Ability to understand and alleviate pain points for fellow engineers.
- Quick learner comfortable with a rapidly evolving tech stack.
- Demonstrated design sense for internal infrastructure products.
- Commitment to inclusive, collaborative work culture.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Build and evolve a platform that abstracts infrastructure complexity for engineering teams.
- Apply and promote AWS best practices across services (ECS, DynamoDB, VPC, Lambda, RDS, Kinesis, EKS).
- Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure smooth operation of products.
- Implement tooling for multi‑region support, fast failover, and high‑availability (target 99.98%+ uptime).
- Lead medium‑to‑large infrastructure projects, including a cost‑effective logging pipeline and AWS account‑management standards.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to identify automation gaps and deliver effective tooling.
**Required Skills:**
- Backend development (Go preferred but not mandatory).
- Kubernetes orchestration and cluster management.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider; AWS experience strongly valued.
- Familiarity with core AWS services: ECS, DynamoDB, VPC, Lambda, RDS, Kinesis, EKS.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and empathy for developer experience.
- Ability to design robust, scalable internal platforms.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, **or** equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus but not mandatory.
