Job title: Full Stack Engineer
Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails and React to support automotive mobility services, including fleet management, bookings, and integrations with third‑party telemetry and insurance APIs.
Expactations: Deliver end‑to‑end features from architecture to production, collaborate with product, design, and infrastructure teams, ensure code quality through testing, peer review, and adherence to secure development practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement front‑end and back‑end components in Rails and React.
- Translate mobility use cases into RESTful APIs and reusable UI modules.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional squads on roadmap prioritization and user story refinement.
- Write clean, testable code with comprehensive unit and integration tests (RSpec, Jest).
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, monitor deployments via Datadog, and resolve production issues.
- Contribute to platform evolution through architectural discussions, RFCs, and engineering guild participation.
- Support compliance (SOC2, ISO) through documentation and test coverage.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years in full‑stack development with Ruby on Rails and React.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, responsive design.
- RESTful API design/consumption, state management across SPAs.
- PostgreSQL, ActiveRecord, relational database schema design.
- Testing frameworks: RSpec, Jest (or equivalent).
- Git workflow, Agile methodologies.
- Strong communication and collaborative mindset.
Bonus Skills: Mobility/automotive experience, AWS (ECS, RDS, Lambda, S3), CI/CD (CircleCI, Docker), feature flagging, multi‑tenant architecture, Auth0/OAuth2, shared design systems.
Required Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. Certifications in Ruby on Rails, React, or cloud services are a plus.
