**Job Title:** Skilled Operative **Role Summary:** Deliver essential civil engineering infrastructure services specifically for aviation projects, including work around major and regional airports and RAF airfields. Execute earthworks, drainage, ducting, and concreting tasks while ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction in a teamwork‑oriented environment. **Expectations:** - Strict adherence to safety standards and protocols. - Proactive, client‑centric approach to service delivery. - Effective collaboration within work gangs and cross‑functional teams. - Continuous learning and application of best practices in civil works. **Key Responsibilities:** - Operate and maintain heavy equipment (dumper, roller, etc.) for earthworks and site preparation. - Execute drainage, ducting, and concreting projects to design specifications. - Inspect and verify material quality, equipment condition, and workmanship. - Coordinate with project managers and site crews to schedule tasks and resolve issues. - Maintain accurate logs of work performed and tools used. - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental guidelines, and safety regulations. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience in general civil work: earthworks, drainage, ducting, concreting. - Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently. - Strong teamwork and communication skills. - Attention to detail, problem‑solving, and adherence to specifications. - Basic site safety knowledge and practices. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Valid UK manual driving licence. - CSCS card (or equivalent). - CPCS card (or equivalent). - NPORS certification (or equivalent). - Specific machine‑ticket certifications for dumper, roller, or other relevant equipment.
