**Job Title:** Cloud Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, deploy, and administer enterprise cloud and on‑premises infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable IT operations. Works under the Cloud Engineering Manager to support Windows, Azure, and other cloud services for a professional services organization.
**Expectations:**
* Deliver secure, compliant infrastructure solutions that meet business needs.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on cloud strategy and implementation.
* Maintain high service availability, perform disaster recovery exercises, and respond to help‑desk incidents.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Configure and maintain Windows Server (2016+), Windows 10/11 desktops, and network devices (routers, switches, Wi‑Fi APs).
* Deploy and manage software updates and application distribution via Intune/Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Group Policy.
* Design, implement, and support Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments.
* Establish, enforce, and audit security frameworks, including anti‑virus, anti‑malware, and perimeter security solutions (CheckPoint, Palo Alto).
* Apply ITIL best practices for service planning, documentation, transition, and continual improvement.
* Support additional infrastructure services: SQL Server, Azure, AWS, Office 365, Intune, Azure Files, AppSense, Illumio, SentinelOne.
* Lead disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation.
* Manage asset inventory and control.
* Provide technical support to end users and internal IT staff, including on‑call duties.
* Recommend patches, reconfigurations, and technology upgrades.
* Create and maintain technical documentation for Engineering and Administration teams.
**Required Skills:**
* Proficiency in Windows Server (2016+), Windows 10/11, and Azure.
* Active Directory (on‑prem & Azure AD) administration.
* Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS).
* Experience with Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
* Strong understanding of networking protocols, routing, and wireless technologies.
* Security fundamentals: AD, MFA, anti‑virus/anti‑malware, firewall, IDS/IPS.
* ITIL framework knowledge.
* Scripting skills (PowerShell preferred).
* Excellent documentation, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.
* Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum of 5 years of professional IT infrastructure/cloud engineering experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
* Relevant certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.
