Job Description: Job title: Senior Full Stack Developer (Backend Focus) Role Summary: Lead the technical evolution of a fast‑growing SaaS platform by designing and refactoring the backend architecture, improving performance, reliability, and quality, and guiding the engineering team through major technical decisions. Expectations: • Minimum 3 years of full‑stack development experience with React and Node.js/TypeScript. • At least 7 years of advanced experience in database design (MongoDB), containerized infrastructures (Docker, AWS/ECS), CI/CD, and performance optimization for distributed SaaS. • Fluent in English and French (spoken and written). Key Responsibilities: • Define and communicate the product’s technical architecture and roadmap. • Plan and execute large‑scale refactors, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades. • Design and build the next‑generation backend, ensuring scalability and robustness. • Audit, measure, and optimize backend performance and reliability. • Drive the adoption of automated testing strategies (Jest, Playwright, Storybook). • Mentor and support the development team in technical decision‑making. • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and engineering tooling. Required Skills: • Node.js, Express.js, TypeScript, React (with Redux, React‑Query). • MongoDB – schema design, indexing, and query optimization. • Docker, AWS (ECS, other relevant services). • Git fundamentals and advanced branching/merge strategies. • CI/CD with GitHub Actions. • RESTful APIs and WebSocket communication. • Automated testing (Jest, Playwright, Storybook). • Performance analysis and profiling for distributed systems. • Strong written and spoken communication in English and French.
