**Job Title:**
Solutions Architect – Data Solutions Architect
**Role Summary:**
Mid‑level data solutions architect with 5–8 years of experience. Designs and delivers modern, scalable, and secure data platforms (data lakes, warehouses, streaming) on cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Works closely with delivery teams, senior architects, and stakeholders to produce high‑level and low‑level designs, implement solutions, and ensure performance, security, and governance standards.
**Expectations:**
- 5–8 years in data engineering, cloud, or analytics.
- 2+ years in solution or data architecture.
- Hands‑on experience building cloud data platforms.
- Strong SQL and Python.
- Proven knowledge of data modelling, integration patterns, and Agile delivery.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design cloud‑based data platforms and analytics solutions.
- Architect data lake, warehouse, and streaming pipelines.
- Define ingestion and processing patterns; support ETL/ELT workflows.
- Produce and review HLD/LLD documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams during implementation.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and cost; implement monitoring.
- Ensure alignment with UK GDPR, security standards, data protection, and lineage practices.
- Participate in design reviews, governance, and DataOps activities.
**Required Skills:**
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Data tools: Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka, Synapse, Redshift.
- ETL/ELT pipeline design; CI/CD and DataOps practices.
- SQL and Python proficiency.
- Data modelling and integration pattern expertise.
- Agile delivery experience.
- Strong communication and documentation.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- No specific degree required.
- Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or GCP Certified Cloud Architect.
- Desirable: Databricks Professional, Snowflake Data Engineer, or other cloud architecture certifications.
