Job Description
**Job Title** Night Team Leader **Role Summary** Lead and supervise the night shift team in a supported living service, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care for adults with diverse needs. Coordinate staffing, compliance, and operational efficiency while fostering a positive team culture. **Expectations** - Exhibit leadership and compassion, embodying the organisation’s values of quality, people and healthy finances. - Maintain regulatory compliance, quality standards and accurate record‑keeping. - Promote continuous improvement and staff development. **Key Responsibilities** - Supervise and support the night shift team, including scheduling, rota planning and task delegation. - Ensure care plans are followed, incidents are recorded, and service standards meet CQC/CIW regulations. - Conduct team briefings, debriefings and performance reviews. - Monitor health, safety, and well‑being of residents and staff. - Appoint and manage resources to maintain operational efficiency and budget adherence. - Lead positive behaviour support initiatives and proactive health measures. - Liaise with Service Manager, external regulators and other departments. **Required Skills** - Level 2 Diploma in Care (Adult Care Worker) or equivalent. - Experience coordinating or supervising a care team or shift. - Knowledge of positive behaviour support and CQC/CIW frameworks. - Strong emotional intelligence, resilience and conflict‑resolution skills. - Excellent organisational, time‑management and rota‑planning abilities. - Proficient with IT systems and electronic care‑planning tools. - Understanding of social care legislation and regulatory requirements. - Honesty, reliability, trustworthiness and a strong lead‑by‑example mindset. **Required Education & Certifications** - Level 2 Diploma in Care (Adult Care Worker) or Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship (or currently progressing). - Satisfactory Police Check and ISA List check (where applicable).
